Actor Joseph Gordon-Levitt has vowed to continue pushing forward with his online production company hitRECord as a tribute to his late brother.

The Inception star was left devastated when his beloved sibling Dan died in 2010 at the age of 36 in a drug-related accident.

The pair launched the arty website together in 2005, and the actor is determined to keep developing the project in honour of Dan, as it helps him feel connected to his tragic brother.

Gordon-Levitt tells Britain's The Daily Telegraph, "hiRECord is very connected with my brother. So it's very dear to me... (Continuing it is) certainly what he would want... He and I were really trying to do something with it. For me it's a great way of feeling connected to him, by continuing to have the thing grow and evolve. It can be painful, but it's the good kind of pain. It's the healing kind."
