LATEST: KORN singer Jonathan Davis has spoken out about his recent battle with blood disease immune thrombocytopenia purpura (ITP), which forced him to pull the plug on the group's European tour. Now recovering at home in Los Angeles, the singer recalls discovering bruises appearing all over his body after a show in Hamburg, Germany - and immediately sought medical help in Britain. He tells Billboard.com, "I was on the bus and noticed all this bruising all over my body. It wasn't bad, just here and there, but I was like, 'What the hell? This ain't right.' I don't remember hitting myself or anything, and I never bruise. "(ITP) is a rare blood disease. Kids get and it goes away, but adults get it and it doesn't." Davis boasts he's making an amazing recovery, considering he was diagnosed earlier this month (JUN06) and spent just four days in hospital. He adds, "ITP causes the number of platelets in the blood to shrink to severely low levels. But the way I'm responding, going from five platelets to 350 in seven days - people sit in the hospital for months and months trying to do that." The rocker now plans to use the experience as inspiration for new songs. He reveals, "This has been one of the scariest times in my life. I'm sure you'll be hearing about it."
