Late country legend Johnny Cash has left a clause in his will to protect his assets from any unknown children of his who may emerge to lay claim to his estate.

Court documents reveal Cash left much of his wealth to his seven children, but a special clause has been added to the will, stating that "no children born to or adopted by me after the date of this Will shall be entitled to receive the portion of my estate" - just in case any other alleged kids come forward to demand a share of the singer's fortune.

HERB NASS, author of WILLS OF THE RICH + FAMOUS, says, "Johnny Cash certainly had some wild years and by limiting the disposition of his estate to the seven named children, he really discourages anyone else from coming forward."

Cash died 12 September (03) of respiratory failure caused by complications from diabetes at the age of 71.
