The former Full House star was arrested in Beverly Hills this summer after police officers received reports abut a vehicle being driven erratically. He was subsequently charged with a misdemeanour count of driving under the influence of drugs.

On Tuesday (24Nov15), Stamos' lawyer Blair Berk entered a plea of no contest during an arraignment hearing, and the judge sentenced the actor to informal probation for 36 months. He also has to pay a $390 (£243) fine for the misdemeanour DUI charge and attend a DMV (Department of Motor Vehicles) class.

Stamos, who faced up to six months behind bars if convicted, checked himself into a live-in treatment centre following the arrest and subsequently blamed his mother's recent death for his struggles.
