The son of broadcasting legend John Peel is following in his late father's footsteps by becoming a radio DJ. Pioneering BBC DJ John, who died in 2004 from a heart attack, was heralded for his tireless campaign of promoting unsigned bands and championing live music. And now his 26-year-old son TOM RAVENSCROFT is carrying on the cause by hosting his own talent search show - SLASHMUSIC - on Channel 4 Radio. Ravenscroft says, "The aim of Slashmusic is to give exposure to the vast amount of fantastic music out there that is relatively unknown."
