John Lennon's son SEAN still hurts when he hears Beatles songs, 28 years after his father was murdered.
Sean was just five years old in December 1980 when the singer was shot dead outside the family's New York City apartment by crazed Mark Chapman.
But he tells Lennon biographer Philip Norman he finds it hard to hear his dad's voice.
Sean - whose mother is Yoko Ono - says, "It took a good ten years before hearing his voice wasn't an incredibly difficult thing.
"If I'm at a party and someone casually puts on Sgt. Pepper, it's hard for me. I can't just hang out, drink wine, smoke cigarettes and listen to those songs."
Lennon Jr's words appear in Norman's book John Lennon: The Life.
