Soul star John Legend is turning his career into a family affair - he's helping his younger brother VAUGHN ANTHONY find fame as an R&B singer.
The Green Light hitmaker has established himself as a top singer/songwriter with six Grammy Awards to his name, and now he's set to share the spotlight with the youngest of his three siblings.
Legend signed Anthony to his HomeSchool Records imprint in 2008 and took him on tour so he could experience life in the music industry for himself.
But Anthony, who took on a factory job while he completed college, admits his talent didn't come as naturally to him as Legend's.
He tells Giant magazine, "When Johnny hooked up with Kanye (West) for his album Get Lifted, I would just go around the factory, singing for no reason. That inspired me to get into the studio.
"I was wack (no good), but I learned and had a friend help me write - like exercise, the more you do it, the better you get. Then Johnny gave me a chance to sing background and be on the road, and here I am."
