British author John Le Carre is so delighted with Brazilian director Fernando Meirelles' big screen version of his book The Constant Gardener, he hails it as the only movie adaptation of his work he is happy with.
Le Carre is impressed with Meirelles ability to transfer the emotional reaction his novel induces into audiences of the The Constant Gardener - the seventh of Le Carre's books to made into film.
"They did themselves proud. It's not the film of the book, it's the film of the film. You come out feeling the same stuff as you do when you come out of the book."
