Director John Landis is returning to movie-making after a six-year hiatus from Hollywood.

Landis disappeared from the big screen scene after his 1998 Blues Brothers sequel BLUES BROTHERS 2000 failed to attract large cinema crowds and was mauled by critics.

However, the THREE AMIGOS! director is now onboard to make sports comedy REAL MEN, reports website EMPIREONLINE.COM.

The movie is based on an impromptu American football game that attracted national media attention because one side was comprised of gay players, while the opposing team were heterosexual.
