Joey Fatone is taking co-parenting ''one step at a time''.
The former NSYNC star split from his wife Kelly Baldwin earlier this year after 15 years of marriage, and has now said co-parenting their two daughters Briahna, 18, and Kloey, nine, hasn't been ''bad'' so far, but is still a work in progress.
He said: ''It's one of those things where you take one step at a time. Sometimes we'll try to do things together, sometimes we won't, depending on where we are, what we're doing. A lot of times we'll switch on and off and it actually is not bad. ... It could get ugly, [but] that's not what we did.''
Joey, 42, says splitting the parenting duties between himself and Kelly hasn't been a ''crazy'' experience, because they're both willing to ''exist together''.
He added to Us Weekly magazine: ''We're like, 'Listen, you take this time, I'll take this time.' Sometimes we'll meet in the middle if it works. ... It's just like, 'Hey, we've known each other for so long. We've got to definitely make it exist together.' We've never been really, like, crazy or anything.''
The singer filed for divorce from Kelly earlier this year, and it was confirmed in June they had both agreed to abide by the terms of the prenuptial agreement they signed in 2004 when they got married.
According to the court documents, Joey will pay $4,500 every month in child maintenance as well as $3,500 in spousal support.
Joey has claimed his average monthly gross income is $21,076.02 with expenses and he has $20,000 in the bank, $1,327,600 in stocks and retirement, and $90,000 in cash.
The documents also explain that him and Kelly have been living at different addresses since their split in 2014 and he has been dating Izabel Araujo for the past four years.
