The 83-year-old and her husband Percy Gibson allegedly worked together on the screenplay about her life, and decided Joan herself should act out the later years, according to British newspaper the Daily Mirror.

Sources claimed the pair was also keen to sign up Peaky Blinders star Helen McCrory to play Joan back in the days of her Dynasty fame in the 1980s, when she portrayed the scheming character Alexis Carrington Colby.

Helen, who is married to Homeland star Damian Lewis, played the role of former British Prime Minister Tony Blair's wife Cherie in the 2006 film The Queen, while she also portrayed Draco Malfoy's mother Narcissa in the Harry Potter movie franchise.

"Joan wants to see herself on the silver screen and this time it'll be all about her life," the insider told the newspaper. "It's a no-expense-spared vanity project.

"Joan loved Helen's portrayal of Cherie, she thinks she'd play her brilliantly. They've pulled out all the stops to try and get her on board."

However, Joan has since cleared up the claims online, insisting there is no truth to the report.

Taking to Twitter.com, she writes, "Hey... @MirrorCeleb I haven't written a screenplay of my life-where do u get such lies?"
