Jk Rowling is to read excerpts from her eagerly-awaited fifth installment of the HARRY POTTER series at London's ROYAL ALBERT HALL - which will be broadcast live on the internet.
The English writer will read from HARRY POTTER AND THE ORDER OF THE Phoenix on 26 June (03), five days after the tome has hit international shops.
And although all 4,000 seats in the venue have already been sold out, organisers are expecting millions of children to log on to the net at 4pm to WWW.MSN.CO.UK/HARRYPOTTER to listen in.
TRACY BLACHER of internet company MSN says, "There isn't a venue that could host the millions of Harry Potter fans desperate to experience this.
"This is what the web is about, taking fans to the action whether they're in Houston or Harrogate."
Actor Stephen Fry will host the event, which will also allow logged-on fans to post questions to the reclusive writer.04/06/2003 13:51
