Jk Rowling, the best-selling novelist and author of the Harry Potter books, has excited fans of the franchise by launching a mysterious new website called 'Pottermore.com'. The meaning of Jk Rowling's new site is unclear and it currently shows only a 'Pottermore' logo with the message 'Coming Soon', reports CBS News.
It is reported that the site was discovered following a 'Secret Street View' challenge where certain Potter-themed websites were given coordinates that revealed a different letter in the site's address. A 'Pottermore' account has also been set-up on Twitter. The Harry Potter fan-site Hpana.com claims to have seen the website in full, describing it as "breathtaking in scope, detail and sheer beauty". 'Pottermore' comes just weeks before the release of 'Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2', the eighth and final film in the hit franchise. Fans of the author have already begun speculating as to the meaning of the website, but the author's representative has already confirmed 'Pottermore' is "not a new book" but is also "not directly related" to the final Potter movie.
During an interview with the Daily Telegraph in 2008, Jk Rowling revealed she had returned to writing in Edinburgh cafes - the venues where she famously penned the Harry Potter novels. It has been reported the author is keen to compose a new novel for children.
