Jimi Hendrix's childhood home in Seattle, Washington is at risk of demolition - sparking outrage among fans of the late guitarist.

The historic site is currently owned by PETER SIKOV, who is keen to have the rock residence "moved" to the Seattle suburb of Renton, where the PURPLE HAZE star was buried after his fatal overdose in 1970.

But authorities have vowed to destroy the property if Sikov hasn't drawn up specific plans for the move by tomorrow (10JUN05).

The HENDRIX FOUNDATION is determined the guitarist's home should be turned into a music centre for young people.
