Jim Carrey's stalled comedy PIERRE PIERRE is back on track - filmmaker Larry Charles has signed on to direct the movie, two years after the project was announced.
The film, about an obnoxious Frenchman who transports a stolen painting from Paris to London, was originally set to be made by Up In The Air's Jason Reitman, but the Oscar nominee dropped out and the picture was left in limbo following a series of studio setbacks.
However, Pierre Pierre has now been given a reboot with Bruno director Charles taking charge of the shoot, according to Deadline.com.
The movie's producers are aiming to make the film on a budget of just $20 million (£13.3 million).
