Jewel says her Cadillac saved her life after she was involved in a car crash last week.
Jewel, the 36-year-old American singer, has taken to her Twitter page to reveal details of her horror crash on Friday (11th March 2011), reports the New York Daily News.The acclaimed singer-songwriter was hit by a fire truck in Texas last week and speaking to followers on her Twitter page, she said, "One thing I do know is my car saved my & my baby's life. Definitely going 2 get another Cadillac Srx! It absorbed all the damage & kept me safe!" Jewel added that that she was "taking it easy" over the weekend and noted that her doctors had advised her not to work out, adding, "Just a little sore and banged up - but feeling so blessed this morning" The singer is expecting her first child with husband and rodeo star TY MURRAY and she thanked fans for their support after being rushed to hospital in Stephenville, Texas, saying, "Hey everyone-just got released from the ER & my Dr's office, everything is fine-me & the baby r ok. thanx 4 all your thoughts & prayers" (sic).
Jewel released her ninth studio album 'Sweet and Wild' on 8th June 2010. The record debuted at number eleven on the Billboard 200, selling 32,000 copies in its first week of sales.
