Jessica Simpson has been craving cantaloupe "like a crazy person" since becoming pregnant.

The singer-and-actress - who is expecting her first child with fiance Eric Johnson - has taken a shine to anything "salty and sweet", but she no longer likes pizzas.

In interview on 'Entertainment Tonight', she said: "I no longer like pizza because it tastes sour. I crave cantaloupe like a crazy person. But I put salt all over it, so I don't know if it's that healthy.

"I crave anything salty and sweet. That mixture to me is so good. I can eat a whole cantaloupe in one morning."

The blonde beauty admitted it was tough to keep her and Eric's pregnancy news a secret for too long, and she is keen to find out the sex of her little one because it will be "pretty tough" hiding it from herself.

She added: "Honestly my stomach was speaking for itself. This baby really wanted to be noticed. But I did just want some time for me and Eric and my family and closest friends to have our little secret but that little secret really wanted to make itself known.

"I think I'm going to find out the sex, I think I have to know. Keeping a secret from yourself is pretty hard."
