Jerry Weintraub, the movie mogul behind George Clooney's Ocean's Eleven films is to receive the inaugural Legend Award at the Hollywood Film Awards.

The producer, who most recently won acclaim for his Liberace Tv movie Behind the Candelabra, will be handed his latest accolade at the 17th annual Hollywood Film Awards in October (13).

The new award will be presented annually to an individual who "has made outstanding contributions to the entertainment industry", according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Weintraub started out as Elvis Presley and Frank Sinatra's promoter.
