Jeremy London's brother is concerned over reports the actor has signed up to appear in U.S. reality show CELEBRITY REHAB, because he's convinced he is doing it for the wrong reasons.
The Party of Five star hit the headlines in June (10) after claiming he was taken hostage by a group of men in California and forced at gunpoint to "purchase alcohol and use illicit drugs" while driving them around Palm Springs.
His twin brother Jason, and his mother, Debbie Nielsen, spoke out about their fear for London's mental state, and insisted that the "story of the kidnapping just doesn't add up".
Their comments prompted London to request a restraining order against his relatives to stop them from talking publicly about the issue, but it was rejected by a California judge earlier this month (Jul10) on the grounds of freedom of speech.
Now Jason London has urged the star not to appear in the reality rehab show following rumours he has agreed a fee of $40,000 (£26,000) for the next season.
Jason tells, "Of course it is my wish that my brother gets the help that he needs. I truly wish that his motivations for doing this show were to actually admit that he has a problem, take the help, and get his life back.
"Unfortunately, it does not appear that his motivations are such, and it's going to be a public forum instead of a private intensified rehabilitation. This concerns me. All I can do is hope."
