Congratulations to Jennifer Nettles, the lead singer of hugely successful country group Sugarland, who walked down the aisle on Saturday November 26th to marry entrepreneur boyfriend Justin Miller at a ceremony near Tennessee's Smoky Mountains. It marks Nettles' second marriage after a divorce to first husband Todd Van Sickle in 2007; she's been seeing Miller for some two years though having known him for even longer.
People Magazine reports that Nettles was looking radiant in an Alexander McQueen-designed dress at an intimate ceremony that featured fellow Sugarland member Kristian Bush. There'll be no time for honeymooning however, with the group set to appear tomorrow (November 30th) alongside Lady GaGa at the Grammy Nomination Concert, not to mention hosting the annual Cma Country Christmas special.
All of this will provide respite for Nettles, who has more ominous things ahead of her, not least a lawsuit filed with her name on it following the collapse of a stage at the Indiana State Fair earlier this year. Sugarland were due to appear on stage when it fell under high winds, killing seven people and injuring more than 40 others; their contract reportedly stated that they had final say on whether their performance would go ahead, reports the Huffington Post. 44 survivors from the concert have accused the group of alleging breach of reasonable care to the victims.
