Jennifer Lopez has denied reports she's "furious" her recently sacked manager Benny Medina will still receive a cut of her income.

According to sources quoted on American gossip site PAGE SIX.COM, Lopez is attempting to pay off Medina - who was fired last month (11JUN03) after a five year association - after learning he will still receive a percentage of her earnings due to the contracts signed between the pair.

The source reports, "Benny always did Jennifer's contracts and, as every manager does, got a percentage of the profits."

Medina is thought to be receiving up to 20 per cent of Lopez's fees, including her film salaries and sales of her GLOW perfume and clothes lines.

The source adds that the superstar has offered Medina $25 million (GBP15 million) to buy herself out of the contract - threatening to stop all payments if he doesn't agree.

"Jennifer is furious. She has been calling Benny every day, saying she won't pay him one more dime. But everything is legal and above board. Benny told her if she stopped paying him he will sue her," the source adds.

However, Lopez's lawyer states, "These claims and statements are both generally and specifically false."
