The original U.S. TV series ran from 1994 to 2004 and told the story of six pals and their lives in New York. The group would frequently be seen chatting in Central Perk coffee shop or one another's apartments, and Jennifer is convinced this wouldn't be the case if the programme was rebooted today.

"Honestly I don’t know what we would do," she said during an interview on British TV show Lorraine on Thursday (01Dec16). "I think that period of time was nostalgic. Our faces weren’t shoved into cellphones and we weren’t checking Facebook and Instagram - we were in a room together, or we were in a coffee shop together and we were talking, having conversations. We’ve lost that."

Talk of a Friends reunion has been rife for many years. Stars Jennifer, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc and David Schwimmer teamed up once again in February (16) to pay tribute to director James Burrows, with Matthew Perry the only member of the original cast missing the event due to prior commitments in London.

"We would do anything for Jim Burrows because he really gave us the opportunity of a lifetime," Jennifer said during the event. "We experienced friendship, family, heartbreak, babies, everything, together. And we also had a wonderful experience with the world loving us as well."

Jennifer also revealed that she, Courteney and Lisa all ate lunch together for 10 years while shooting the award-winning show, and added that the cast all got on incredibly well from the get-go.

"In the beginning it was not a hard thing, we really just wanted to hang out together," she smiled.
