A Ugandan cab driver has confessed to selling tainted drugs to tragic U.S. TV producer Jeff Rice.
Rice was found unconscious in his hotel suite in Kampala on 17 February (12), with his assistant Kathryne Fuller, also unresponsive, nearby.
The Amazing Race producer was pronounced dead at a nearby hospital and Fuller has been left partially paralysed.
Officials conducting an investigation into Rice's sudden death found "major metabolites of cocaine" in the 39 year old's blood stream and now a driver, Moses Kalanzi, has been arrested for allegedly supplying the pair contaminated drugs, according to local publication the Daily Monitor.
A police spokesman says, "There was constant communication between the special hire driver and Rice on phone about the purchase of the drugs. So we want to know the source of the drugs and how it is trafficked into the country."
A second suspected drug dealer has also been taken into custody.
