Hip-hop star Jay-Z is finally planning to tour with troubled R+B singer R KELLY - more than two years after pulling out of their planned roadshow.
The BEST OF BOTH WORLDS TOUR kicks off in Kelly's native Chicago, Illinois, on 30 September (04), and will hit 40 cities in America before ending Phoenix, Arizona on 28 November (04).
In April of 2002, record label Def Jam cancelled all promotions surrounding the collaboration album, following allegations that SNAKE singer had sex with an underage girl.
After holding a $100,000 (GBP55,000) press day at New York's Waldorf Astoria to announce the tour, the plug was pulled by Def Jam bosses to avoid any negativity being placed on Jay-Z.
Jay-Z did not do any press with Kelly and his picture was removed from the VIBE magazine cover, which he was supposed to share with Kelly.
Kelly is still awaiting trial on child pornography charges.19/08/2004 20:56
