The director of Jay Z's Picasso Baby art performance video has shot down reports suggesting actress Jemima Kirke was asked to leave the gallery gig after jumping on the rapper's back.

The Girls star appears to cling on to the smiling hip-hop superstar as he performs for fans and friends in the promo, which was shot at New York's Pace Gallery earlier this summer (13) and debuted on U.S. Tv last week (02Aug13).

Earlier this week (beg05Aug13), sources told the New York Daily News that Kirke had to be escorted out of the art space after becoming too overzealous during the six-hour video shoot.

However, filmmaker Mark Romanek has fired back at the reports via Twitter.com, insisting the actress was not asked to leave.

In a post on Wednesday (07Aug13), he wrote, "I hope she doesn't mind me saying so, but these absurd rumors about Jemima Kirke's behavior at the Picasso Baby shoot are utter bulls**t."

Romanek, who also briefly appears in the video, has not elaborated on his tweet.
