Jay Z has signed up to create a Christmas campaign called 'A New York Holiday' for luxury retailer Barneys.

The hip-hop icon is getting involved with the luxury retailer's upcoming Christmas campaign, called 'A New York Holiday', for which he will team up with numerous designers including Balenciaga, Moncler, Lanvin and Proenza Schouler.
The 43-year-old star - real name, Shawn Carter - told WWD: ''With this project, Barneys New York and I were able to take the slickness, energy and innovation of New York City and translate that into quality, timeless pieces.''
A number of pop-ups in the store's outposts across America, including in Manhattan, Beverly Hills, San Francisco, Boston and Chicago, are due to open.
The company is equally excited to have the world-famous rap icon involved in the project.
CEO Mark Lee said: ''If you close your eyes and think about who best represents New York and stands for the city, you can't help but think about Shawn Carter.''
