An old snapshot of a Harlem man bearing a striking resemblance to Jay-Z has surfaced online, much to the amusement of his fans.
A photograph from 1939 bearing an uncanny resemblance to Jay-Z has hit the web.
The black and white snapshot of a man in Harlem, New York, surfaced online via the Schomburg Center's Tumblr page over the weekend (13.05.13), prompting fans from all over the world to point out the mystery man's similarities to the hip-hop star.
Many have questioned whether he could be Jay-Z's long lost relative since the pair share strikingly similar facial features. Some have even jokingly suggested the superstar could be a time-traveller or a vampire.
A fan posted on Twitter, ''This confirms Jay-Z is not human'', while yet another amused fan wrote, ''Y'all seen the 1939 Jay-Z look alike picture? Damn I'm mindblown #illuminati (sic)''.
The photograph, entitled 'Sid Grossman in Harlem', was dug up by the Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture at the New York Public Library, who then shared it online.
It features a man perched on a railing in Harlem, wearing a button-jacket and flat-cap and adopting a stance worthy of the '99 Problems' rapper.
Meanwhile, Jay-Z and his wife Beyonce - who have 16-month-old daughter Blue Ivy together - are thought to want to expand their family as soon as possible because they are so taken with parenthood.
