New York City's first major country music event, FarmBorough Festival, has been cancelled after just one year.
Tickets for the concerts at Randall's Island Park went on sale last week (07Feb16), but on Tuesday (09Feb16), organisers at Founders Entertainment, the same company that runs New York's famed Governors Ball, announced the cancellation of FarmBorough festival on its now-empty website.
A statement reads: "FarmBorough Festival will not return to Randall's Island in June of 2016. All of us at FarmBorough Festival appreciate the support we have received, but conditions dictate that we redirect our energy at this time. We appreciate the opportunity you afforded us to present FarmBorough in New York City, and apologize for any inconvenience."
Last year (15), the inaugural festival brought together more than 40,000 fans as they watched sets from the likes of Luke Bryan, Dierks Bentley, and Brad Paisley.
