Jarvis Cocker is planning to incorporate a lecture into his five-date UK tour next month.
The former Pulp frontman gave lectures about the nature of lyrics in modern music in Manchester and Brighton earlier this year and claims he is keen to repeat the experience.
Speaking to the BBC, he said: "Something I'm going to try on tour, God knows if it'll work, is doing some spoken word things.
"I did a couple of lectures. I'm going to try and bring a bit of that into the concert maybe, in between songs."
As well as the spoken work interludes, Jarvis said he would like to introduce a disco element to the forthcoming gigs.
"I think it would be nice if I could blend these areas of interest that I've got. It could be an absolute disaster, I don't know. We're going to do a few tests and see if it's at all possible," he added.
