Jamie Lynn Spears exhibited what sisterly love is all about as she sang a tribute song dedicated to and inspired by her older sister Britney Spears during a performance in Nashville, Tennessee on Thursday (14th June).
Performing at 3rd and Lindsley Bar and Grill in the city, Jamie Lynn performed the country ballad in honour of her much chronicled sister. In the song, Jamie Lynn goes through 'loss of innocence' her sister has endured since she was thrust into the public eye in the late 90's. She also sings about how she "looks up to" her big sister still, regardless of what may have happened during her turbulent life.
Although not quite as turbulent as Britney's life, Jamie Lynn has had her own share of misguided decisions in the past; becoming a teen mom to her now 3-year-old daughter, Maddie, at the young age of 17.Jamie Lynn, who looked strikingly similar to a younger Britney at the show, had been looking to follow in the footsteps of her sister but had to put her plans on hiatus following the birth of her chid. Since then she has begun building up a reputable career as a country and western singer in her own right, often penning her own songs much like the song she wrote for her sister.
