Producers of the latest James Bond movie have been dealt a major setback after officials in Italy reportedly refused to let them film a high-speed car chase close to a major landmark in Rome.

Daniel Craig is back in action as 007 shooting scenes across Europe for the latest blockbuster Spectre. Filming has already taken place in both London and the snowy peaks of Austria, and the crew is due to head to Italy next month (Feb15).

However, plans to film an action-packed car chase in Rome, close to the city's historic Four Fountains, has been blocked by local authorities over fears an accident could wreck the famous landmark, according to Britain's The Times.

A source tells the newspaper, "Any damage would run to millions and it could also push the insurance too high."
