James Blunt's father fears the singer/songwriter will fail to win any gongs at next week's (15FEB06) Brit Awards, and is begging friends to vote for the star.
CHARLES BLOUNT is thrilled his son has been nominated for five of the prestigious awards, but fears the YOU'RE BEAUTIFUL hitmaker, who changed the spelling of his surname, could be left red-faced and empty-handed.
And the concerned parent is now frantically emailing contacts in a bid ensure at least one win.
Blount's email reads: "If you can spare a moment, do please vote at www.brits.co.uk. I'm afraid it involves registration, which is frustrating (and a test of your computer skills) but it could just save us the embarrassment of his coming away empty-handed..."
