Singer James Blunt agreed to narrate a new documentary about volunteer work after learning a childhood pal was behind the project.
The You're Beautiful hitmaker signed up to provide a voiceover for new short film The Volunteer, made by Hugo Chittenden, a former classmate at Harrow School in London.
And the star admits he was eager to join the project after learning that Chittenden had given up a successful career in property to become a volunteer in the slums of Kenya after being diagnosed with a serious illness.
Blunt says, "I'm just full of admiration for those who try to make a difference and Hugo's story is inspirational."
