The widower of British reality TV star Jade Goody is facing a trial for rape next year (10) after he pleaded not guilty to the charge on Tuesday (22Dec09).
Jack Tweed, 22, has been behind bars since September (09) when he was arrested following allegations he launched a sex attack on a teenage girl at his home in east London.
Tweed appeared via a videolink from his prison cell to Snaresbrook Crown Court, London, on Tuesday and pleaded not guilty to two charges of rape.
His co-accused, 25-year-old estate agent Anthony Davis, also denied two counts of rape. Tweed was remanded in custody and told he will stand trial on 12 April (10).
Tragic Goody, who shot to fame on U.K. TV show Big Brother in 2002, died from cervical cancer in March (09) at the age of 27.
