Jada Pinkett Smith thinks she looks ''better than ever.''

The 42-year-old actress, who has son Jaden, 16, and daughter Willow, 13, with husband Will Smith, no longer goes to the gym as often as she used to, but tries to do something physical every day to stay in shape.

The 'Madagascar' star told Net-A-Porter's The Edit magazine: ''I look better than ever and I work out less. I'm never in the gym for [more than] 45 minutes.''

Jada feels more in tune with her body now and isn't worried about getting older.

She said: ''As I've gotten older, I've learned that it's about being physical every day. You don't have to go to the gym if that's not your thing. You can go outside your door and walk around your block.''

Shortly before the Oscars last March, the actress admitted she had gained approximately 10 pounds.

She said at the time: ''My girlfriend sent me this pic and I could clearly see the weight I've gained, which is about ... 8-10 pounds.''

But she added: ''I think I will keep it. I like being a lil ... fuller. Let's just hope it will fit in the Oscars dress.''
