In the last six months, 22-year old Londoner Jack Penate has made quite a name for himself. No shirker, he's done most the hard work himself by regularly posting songs online and playing feverish live sets all over the country, resulting in him firmly positioning himself at the very forefront of the new wave of British musicians.
The most British of voices, Jack's finally releasing his music on the world. Being made available through burgeoning new label, Young Turks (the label born out of the eminent London club night of the same name), Jack has set his stall out for future greatness with his debut single of 'Second, Minute or Hour'. For someone so early in his career, his pop knack is already more than evident here with tracks about a love forlorn despite his best attempts to make it otherwise ('Second, Minute or Hour') and the polar opposite on the other one in him declaring himself more than contented with his lot in life ('Got My Favourite').
Jack heads to the studio to record his debut album shortly and is currently touring with The Maccabees, seemingly playing every town in the country. again.
