The pioneer passed away of kidney failure on Monday (09Nov15) at St. Luke's Hospital in San Francisco, California.

Doda was best known as one of the first women performers to appear on stage nude. As part of her act, she would ascend to the stage dancing on top of a piano.

Doda also had a little success on the big screen, appearing in Jack Nicholson's film Head in 1968.

She retired from stripping in the 1980s and became a spokesmodel for a San Jose, California television station and the owner of Carol Doda's Champagne and Lace Lingerie Boutique in San Francisco.
