Surfer-turned-rocker Jack Johnson hits the beach in his native Hawaii for two hours every day - because it's his way of meditating.
The Grammy-nominated singer/songwriter grew up in Hawaii and never misses an opportunity to surf when he isn't racing around the world on tour.
He says, "I go surfing for two hours and nobody is asking me a question. It's like time to meditate.
"It's second nature at this point, all muscle memory, so I go out there and ride the waves but I'm still thinking about other things. It's kind of like my way of stretching in the morning.
"It gives me time every day to reflect on things. When I'm in the water I can even come up with a few lines for lyrics."
