Australian actress Jacinda Barrett ditched a successful modeling career for a more challenging life in Hollywood

The 32-year-old star, best known for her role in Bridget Jones: The Edge OF REASON, turned to acting after growing increasingly bored of modelling.

She says, "I remember doing a shoot in San Diego and the photographer said to me, 'Don't think, just be a model.' And I remember saying under my breath, 'Don't tell me not to think'.

"There was this one model who wanted to act, saying to me. 'It's so difficult to say no. You can't stop because of the money.' and I remember thinking at the time, 'Well you can. Just do it!'"
