Isla Fisher didn't want to work at all during her three pregnancies.
The 40-year-old star is famous for keeping her family life with husband Sacha Baron Cohen and their three children firmly out of the limelight.
But The Wedding Crashers star briefly opened up about domestic bliss with the Australian edition of Elle magazine, and revealed she doesn't aspire to being the perfect mother and wife.
"I do think you can have it all, but I think that you shouldn't really want to," Isla smiled. "I don't mean that you can't have it all, more that it's hard to do everything well."
The Great Gatsby actress also confessed to never working while pregnant with each of her three children, saying she preferred to eat and sleep instead.
"I want a pint of Haagen-Dazs (ice-cream) and my fat feet up on a stool and I want to just sleep," she laughed.
Her brief conversation about her family life is worlds apart from her awkward interview with the Sunrise breakfast show in her native Australia, when she was quizzed about her funnyman husband.
Appearing via satellite from London to promote her new book series Marge in Charge back in July (16), Isla shut down the interview after the presenters asked if Sacha "reads to the kids in funny voices".
"He's not here doing the interview. I don't like talking about my private life," Isla quickly responded.
However, she then tried to smooth over the awkward incident, simply adding, "I think there's a lot of mischief that goes on in our house and a lot of fun."
