LATEST: Rap mogul Irv Gotti's freedom hangs in the balance as he awaits a verdict in his money laundering trial.

The Murder Inc Records founder and his brother CHRIS LORENZO are expected to hear whether they'll be found guilty or not guilty in New York later today (30NOV05).

Federal prosecutors claim the brothers laundered large sums of money through their record company from drug dealer KENNETH 'SUPREME' McGRIFF.

Judge EDWARD KORMAN has heard testimony from prosecution and defence lawyers over the past two weeks and announced yesterday (29NOV05) he was ready to hand the case over to the 14-member jury.

Gotti's client Ashanti and her manager/mother Tina Douglas were in court with another rap mogul, LYOR COHEN, to watch as the trial wound down yesterday (29NOV05).
