Australian rockers Inxs are using reality TV to find a new singer.

The group, once fronted by Michael Hutchence, have teamed up with Survivor creator MARK BURNETT to find a frontman.

Burnett, who has scored a number of hit reality TV contests in America, plans to create an AMERICAN IDOL-type competition for wannabe rockers - and the winner will tour with the NEED YOU TONIGHT group.

The new show will breathe life into INXS, who have failed to return to the limelight following Hutchence's apparent suicide in 1997.

Terence Trent D'Arby joined the group for one show in 1999 and fellow Aussie JON STEVENS toured with them in 2001.
