Inxs are back at the top of the Australian album charts for the first time in over two decades thanks to a hit new Tv mini-series about the band's rise and fall.
The group's The Very Best compilation is being snapped up as a download Down Under as a new generation of music fans discover tragic singer Michael Hutchence and his bandmates through hit Tv drama Inxs: Never Tear Us Apart.
It has been 24 years since the group hit the top of the countdown with X.
The hits collection is not a new release - it has taken 77 weeks to get to number one, making it the longest climb to the top in the chart's history.
The hit show has brought the band’s five surviving members back together - they will be featured in an interview special this coming weekend (23Feb14).
Hutchence, who died in 1997, is portrayed by Luke Arnold in the mini-series.
