New York rock act Interpol have been forced to reschedule shows - after their drummer SAM FORGARINO was rushed to hospital.

Forgarino lost feeling in his arm during a set in Italy. That concert was postponed, but the band will still be performing at this year's (03) Glastonbury and Carling Weekend festivals in Britain.

A spokesperson for the band says, "Sam had been feeling poorly for the past couple of days with pretty bad flu. He left the stage shaking but duly tried to continue the set.

"After a few more songs he simply couldn't even hold the drumsticks. The band had stopped playing and Sam was rushed to hospital.

"After some x-rays, he was told he had stressed a nerve in his arm."
