Iggy Azalea's National Basketball Association (NBA) player fiance was accused of the harassment by Alexis Jones, who spoke to the Los Angeles Times newspaper of the alleged incident. Alexis claims she was sitting in traffic at a Los Angeles intersection with her mother Claudia Munn, when Nick, 30, drove up beside them and one of the players made an obscene gesture.

Responding to the claims on Twitter, Nick said: "Aye if you want some attention take a pic of me and say anything next to it and post… The world we live in."

Women's equality activist Alexis was in L.A. to make a speech at the University of Southern California when the alleged incident occurred.

She is reported by ESPN.com to be a co-founder of the nonprofit website I Am That Girl, and refers to herself as "an activist trying to stop athletes from committing sexual harassment, sexual abuse and domestic violence".

After the supposed gesture Alexis uploaded pictures of the sports stars, who both play for the Los Angeles Lakers, sitting in a jeep to Instagram.

"We just kind of heard loud noises and I just thought it was boys being boys, being loud," she said. “They were kind of reaching out of the car. So my mom said, ‘Oh my god’ and I looked up and they were making very vulgar sexual explicit motions to my mom. "

"My mom is a 68-year-old grandmother. It just totally shocked me and caught me off guard. My mom started bawling."

The woman has not filed a police report on the incident, which allegedly occurred between La Brea and Melrose avenue in the city, but claimed it was a scary situation.

Responding to the claims, L.A. Lakers publicist John Black said: “We take the allegation seriously and are continuing to look into it. Until we get all the facts from all the parties involved, it’s not appropriate for us to comment.”
