Ian Brown is planning to release a new album in august next year, the singer has claimed.
The former Stone Roses frontman revealed the plans on his website, saying that the new material is his strongest work to date.
After wishing his fans a happy Christmas and new year, the Manc legend revealed some details about the forthcoming project.
"I'm happy to let you know I'm working up a set of songs that are the
best on all levels I've been involved with - ooh baby the music gets
better with you! I'm looking to release these songs as an album in August. More news soon," he wrote
Brown is to play Tokyo's National Opera House on February 5th, where he will be joined by an orchestra.
Meanwhile, STONE ROSES bassist Mani has claimed that Brown is the only one preventing a full band reunion.
He said the rest of the band are prepared to perform together again, but added that Brown still "needs some working on".
