Eighties band THE Human League refused to be parted from their Q Innovation in Sound Award - because they lost their last music trophy down the back of a taxi.
The DON'T YOU WANT ME stars collected the gong at last night's (04OCT04) Q MUSIC AWARDS in London, and told the audience it's the only award they possess after singer JOANNE CATHERALL mislaid their Best Newcomer BRIT award in 1982.
Catherall said, "We won best newcomer at the Brits in 1982 but I was a bit worse for wear and left the award in the award in the back of a taxi. So getting this trophy today is fantastic. Now we can finally say that the Human League have an award."05/10/2004 13:53
