Former wrestler Hulk Hogan has lost his bid for a temporary injunction against the website screening his sex tape.
The one-minute, 40-second snippet of Hogan and Heather Clem, ex-wife of Florida radio host Bubba The Love Sponge, emerged earlier this month (Oct12) on Gawker.com.
Hogan, real name Terry Bollea, has branded the sex tape the "low point" of his life and has filed separate lawsuits against Gawker, Bubba and Clem.
He also demanded a temporary injunction banning publication of the footage while the legal action is pending, but on Friday (19Oct12) a judge refused the request.
James D. Whittemore, federal judge at Florida's District Court, said, "Upon consideration, Plaintiff has failed to show that immediate and irreparable injury, loss or damage will result before Defendants can be heard in opposition."
The case is due back in court on 8 November (12).
