Hugh Laurie has announced his biggest headlining shows yet. The British actor and musician performed a series of small, intimate concerts in the UK towards the end of 2011 and their success was such that Hugh Laurie and the Copper Bottom Band are set to tour again. Laurie's tour will start at the Royal Concert Hall in Glasgow on June 29th, 2012; followed by the Lowry in Salford on July 1st before ending at the HMV Hammersmith Apollo in London on July 2nd.

The House, M.D. actor surprised many when he announced plans to release his debut album, Let Them Talk, in May 2011. It was a critical and commercial success, however, reaching number two in the UK Album Charts (it was held off the top spot by Adele's 21) and entering the Billboard Top 20 in the US. Let Them Talk was also the biggest selling blues album of 2011 in the UK, according to The Official Charts.

Laurie also shocked fans when he announced that his hit show House, M.D., would not be returning after eight seasons. A joint statement by Laurie; the show's creator David Shore and executive producer Katie Jacobs read: 'After much deliberation, the producers of House M.D. have decided that this season of the show, the 8th, should be the last. By April this year they will have completed 177 episodes, which is about 175 more than anyone expected back in 2004. The decision to end the show now, or ever, is a painful one, as it risks putting asunder hundreds of close friendships that have developed over the last eight years - but also because the show itself has been a source of great pride to everyone involved.'
