A woman who allegedly attempted to attack Hugh Jackman with an electric razor in a New York gym has been hit with an additional charge of burglary.

Katherine Thurston was arrested and charged with stalking after approaching the Les Miserables star while he was working out on 13 April (13).

She was recently indicted on the misdemeanour and on Tuesday (30Apr13), it emerged that the homeless 47 year old had also been slapped with a felony burglary count.

It is not yet known what Thurston is accused of taking as the indictment was sealed, but the extra charge carries a maximum sentence of seven years in prison, reports Eonline.com.

However, the suspect was given a small reprieve - allegations of menacing and criminal weapons possession were dropped.

Thurston, who remains in custody on $7,500 (£4,688) bond, is currently being evaluated to determine whether she is mentally fit for prosecutors to continue with the case.

She is next due in court on 8 May (13).
